About me

I’m Pam Cook – writer, historian, film critic, blogger and academic. I worked at the BFI for 15 years, and was associate editor on the journals Monthly Film Bulletin and Sight and Sound from 1985 to 1994. I’m currently Professor Emerita in Film at the University of Southampton.

My main interests are: fashion and film; women and cinema; history in cinema; film culture and education; and authors’ rights. Visit my Wikipedia and Imdb profiles.
